Whew...what a week...but I couldn't be prouder of my little guy!

Last Friday (aug 6) was the day I decided we going to start potty training. My personal goal was to have him completely potty trained by Sept 1 when he went back to preschool....so I told Cameron Thursday night i would get all his potty books, caddy, new underwear and reward system ready. Stickers and m&m's for washing hands and pee pee and stickers and popcicles for pooping. We had received some very good potty books and caddy from Auntie Katy and it had a little potty chart . So, i bought some elmo and thomas stickers (his favorite characters these days) and a bag of m&m's. Friday was a bit challanging( for me (not him))....i was taking him to the potty every 30 mins (even setting the timer in the kitchen, so i wouldn't forget or get side tracked with campbell and such). Many pee pee accidents and only one successful pee in the potty. He woke up dry from overnight, so i knew we were on the right track. Saturday morning came and I knew it was going to be a better day, cameron was going to be home to encourage jackson too. we had a few successful pees but no poop yet. We had solomon's birthday lunch that day and we had a poop accident in the car. Yikes. So Pooping became a bit of a scare ( i think for him). Saturday afternoon we had a few more pees, but then another pooping accident in a swim diaper (all you moms know those are the WORST). Honestly, I was discouraged at this point, but told Cameron I would give Jackson thru Sunday and if it wasn't working, I would take a break and restart again soon. Day 3- sunday, I swear, Jackson woke up and a light just clicked in his head we were pee everytime he wanted to go to the bathroom. Monday, rolled around and still no poop, Tuesday rolled around and no poop. I started to get concerned he was holding it and going to get an upset stomach, so I emailed my sister and meghan and some girlfriends for some advice. They all had some suggestions , bribery, book reading, special pottys, etc. Meghan even made a deal with jackson that when he pooped he had to call her and to take a picture of it and email it (what a great aunt to want to see his poop). So, we decided to try bribery...surely that would work, right?. He had be over at his twin cousins house who have a scooter or 'tooter' as jackson says and loves it. So, we decided that would be our prize for pooping. Wednesday rolled around, still no poop. But everything was going great with peeing and the stickers. He really didn't even care about the m&m's and i actually found that he had stashed them in one of his backpacks! Thursday rolls around and he has asked a couple of times to poop. I would take him in there and he would sit for a second then get up and say I am done. So finally, I said jackson just sit there and I will read you ALL the elmo potty books again. Jackson you just need to "push" it out, just like you do with your pee. By the time I was almost finished with the book, I see his little face getting red and can't believe he listened to me and was actually pushing. I can't explain how excited and the dancing and screams I was letting out. So, when cameron got home, as we promised, off to the store we were to get the 'tooter'. Here are a few pictures and video of him

I am so PROUD of my little guy for his big accomplishments in just 3 and 6 days because I know potty training can be challanging and take awhile. Since last Sunday, Jackson has had no accidents and every pee has been in the potty or outside in the grass! I am truly amazed by him daily!
