Saturday, September 25 the Arkansas Razorback football team was playing the number 1 team in the nation. WOW! We (and the rest of Arkansas) were hyped about this game. Students starting camping out in front of the stadium on Monday night for the best seats in the stadiums student sections! What dedication and loyal fans! We loved it to because we would take a nightly drive past the stadium to see the growth of tents. It eventally was referred to as "tent city". Friday was the best, as we drove down stadium drive (with the rest of the town) honking, "high fiving" the students yelling and cheering with excitement.
Our tailgate party started early, 8:30 am we were out at our parking spot!!
Our little cheerleader and football player.
A little bit of pregame pictures here. The razorback cheerleaders, the bands tradtion "A" alignment for the team to run out thru, the paratroopers flying in the US flag, Arkansas Flag and Game ball to the "honorary" team captain, Ken Hatfield and AD, Jeff Long.
One of my favorite things about coach Petrino is he isn't the first to run on the field, he lets his players! That shows a lot of class, unlike our previous coach :)
A little celebrity sighting for, John Daly (in the black shirt and grey hat). He has sideline passes to all the games!
Ryan Mallett, QB for the hogs and heisman 2010 Candidate!
American Idol, Kris Allen calling the hogs in front of the students section!
It was a great game that was exciting to the very end. We were ahead 3 quarters, but fell behind in the last 3 minutes to eventually lose the game. That was one of the best college football atmospheres I've every been a part of. We played hard, but just came up short. My last picture is of Arkansas head coach, Petrino and Alabama's coach, Saban shaking hands!
