“You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world, but it requires people to make the dream a reality.” ~ Walter Elias Disney
Our family trip this year was to go to Disney World and the beach in Florida! We were able to spend ten days doing all the things we love in florida....the theme parks, the beach, the pool/waterparks and seeing Cameron's Aunt. Here are the memorable adventures of our ten days!
The blog won't handle the 1200+ pictures, so I have condensed them and attached links to each day! Hope you enjoy your little stroll down our family vacation!
Day 1- Disney's Animal Kingdom
Epcot and Mickey/ Minnie Ears
We enjoyed meeting many characters and getting them to sign Jackson's autograph book, seeing the Lion King show, going on a safari ride, getting the kids their own personalized mickey and minnie ears, strolling the world around epcot, daddy riding the test track and watching the animal kingdom character parade.
Day 2- Breakfast with Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and Agent Oso
Disney's Hollywood Studios/MGM
This was my favorite day of Disney. We started off early at breakfast at Hollywood and Vine with Handy Manny, Agent OSO, June and Leo. Jackson had the best time meeting them all and dancing in the restaurant. He was to busy to really eat, but he does love his mickey mouse waffles! Then we headed straight over to the Toy Story Mania area and Disney Junior! Here we met Buzz Lightyear and Woody, Green Army Man, June and Quincy (from Little Einstiens). The Toy Story 3d ride and the disney junior live show where great. Jackson was enjoying all his favorite tv shows in person, along with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters too! He also had his picture with Lightning McQueen and Mater! Mommy and Daddy got to ride the rockin roller coaster with rider swap! My personal favorite thrill ride of the parks!
Day 3-SeaWorld Aquatica
Pirate's Cove Mini Golf Course
Seaword Aquatica is a fantastic waterpark. It has three large areas just for our kids ages. Campbell was able to sit in the shallow water and play, go down the lazy river (which she screamed the whole way because she did NOT like it) and jackson loves the tube slides and double rider rides with mom or dad! We took Jackson that night to the Pirate's Cove mini golf. It was his first time, so he was learning to play and is starting to get the hang of it. We just need to take him more for him to get better!
Day 4- Universal's Islands of Adventure
We honestly can't go to Orlando without making it to this park. It has a great Dr. Seuss area, now a great Harry Potter area and the thrill rides; the hulk, dueling dragons and the spiderman ride! Jackson was able to meet Spiderman,Sam I am, The Grinch, Cat in the Hat and ride many rides based on the Dr. Seuss books! It has this fun little play area with a little bit of water for them to play in. We always bring the kiddos swimsuits and let them play freely for a few hours.
Day 5- Disney's Magic Kingdom
The big day of meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the princesses Aurora, Belle and Cinderella, driving a race car, riding dumbo, peter pans flight, spinning tea cups, snow white's ride, the magic mickey show, and the merry go round and watching the parade on stage of the castle!
Day 6&7-Siesta Key Beach
Siesta Key Family Photos
I LOVE the beach!!! So, we drove a down to Siesta Key beach for a few days! This was Campbell's first visit and I was very excited and curious how she would do. Campbell loved sitting in her chair and playing in the water and sand, while jackson's highlight was bearing Camerons legs and feet in the sand and playing in the water! Definetely sweet and memorable times there!
Day 8 - Magic Kingdom Parade and Fireworks- We were able to take just Jackson back late one night to Magic Kingdom while Cameron's dad and aunt were at the house with Campbell. We watched the electrical light parade and then the memories show on the castle (which is breath taking) and then the grand finale fireworks on the castle!
I am so glad we decided to take this trip this year! Seeing Jackson so engaged and happy and enjoying every moment is worth the hustle and bustle you go thru to do all the things at the parks in Orlando. He truly loved it all and still a few weeks later is bringing up small moments from his times at the parks! Campbell was great (as she went with the flow and took naps and ate basically whereever we were )and enjoyed herself too on the rides and water fun!
It happened again.
